Quickstart
How to get started with Terality in 3 minutes.

Install the Terality client library

You use Terality through a regular Python package. Terality supports Python 3.7+. Install the latest Terality package using pip:
1
$ pip install --upgrade terality
Copied!

Create a free Terality account

The Terality package also installs the terality command line interface. In a terminal, type
1
$ python -m terality account create
Copied!
and follow the prompts.
This command will output your API key. Please store it somewhere safe, such as your password manager. If you lose the Terality configuration file, you can use the API key to set up Terality again.
At this stage, you are ready to process your data with Terality.

Run an example script

1. Download the Titanic dataset
titanic.csv
59KB
Text
Titanic dataset
2. In a Python interpreter or Jupyter notebook, enter and run the following code, and update the path to the Titanic file
1
import terality as te
2
df = te.read_csv('path/to/titanic.csv')
3
df.info()
Copied!
This code automatically runs on the Terality servers. That's why it might take a few seconds to complete, while Terality creates the infrastructure required to run the code.
Note that you did not have to deploy anything, nor specify any configuration options. We handle all the difficult infrastructure questions for you

API documentation

Terality is compatible with the pandas API, documented here: https://pandas.pydata.org/docs/reference/index.html#api. Simply replace the pandas module by terality.
You can also try to take one of your existing scripts that uses pandas, and replace the import pandas as pd line by import terality as pd.
